In 2013, Dubai won the bid to host the event in 2020, and since then it has been a long wait to be home to an amazing global event that runs for 6 months. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the event had to be rescheduled to the current dates.

After winning the bid, the UAE became the first Middle Eastern country to host the Expo, defeating Russia, Turkey, and Brazil in an international voting process that was held in Paris.

The total number of participating countries in the Dubai Expo 2020 stands at 191. The event will see each country celebrating an honour or national day throughout the six-month long event, for the first time in Expo history. It will also host artists and performers from around the world, making it an address for artistic performances where the visitors will be able to enjoy home-grown as well as international talent.

What to expect from the event?

With 191 country pavilions, three themed districts, 60 shows per day, more than 200 restaurants, and endless networking, educational, business, and learning opportunities, thrilling entertainment events, eye-opening architecture, cuisine from all over the world, and much more, Dubai Expo 2020 is a six-month long celebration of life! The event is expected to attract 25 million visitors during Dubai Expo 2020.

The Expo Passport has also been introduced by Dubai Expo 2020. Visitors who buy it can personalise it with their own information, and they’ll be able to travel the world all in one place. They can collect stamps while exploring more than 200 participating pavilions and creating memorable experiences with family and friends without leaving Dubai.

Where and how to buy tickets?

If you haven’t already purchased your tickets to this one-of-a-kind experience, now is the time.You can choose from different tiers of tickets that are on sale: one-day tickets for AED 95, multi-day passes are available for AED 195, and season passes can be bought for AED 495.
