INGEO Partners with Seed Group to Define New Paradigms in Remediating and Reusing Water Resource in the MENA Region

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – October 21, 2019 – INGEO, a company that focuses and offers full-fledged solutions to issues surrounding solid and liquid waste management, today announced its strategic partnership with Seed Group and the Private Office of Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum to establish a commercial base in Dubai to address the increasing problem of water stress and reduce the region’s threat from a water crisis. INGEO’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) headquarters will be based in Dubai and headed by INGEO CEO Rajneesh Mehra.

Tracing back to INGEO’s first mission to conserve water primarily, INGEO has taken numerous projects on conservation as well as initiatives on remediating millions of liters of sewage on an hourly basis in India. Through the years, INGEO has realized that more than the conservation and remediation of water, reusing water could be the best possible resource today. Along with the right knowledge base, technology paradigm, INGEO has evolved and become a one-stop solution to recycle water for any form of commercial and industrial processes. Its solutions are distinguished by important factors such as markedly reduced land utilization, lower overall cost, and far quicker service delivery, apart from huge savings in energy consumption.

“Along with HH Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmad Al Maktoum, INGEO aims to provide one of the most essential resources for human survival – the water – by remediating municipal/ industrial wastewater and in the process saving 85% energy, 90% execution time, 85% land compared to any other conventional method”, said Rajneesh Mehra, CEO of INGEO.

As of 2019, according to a new World Resources Institute (WRI) survey, a total of 17 countries are experiencing “Extremely High” water pressure.

Of these 17 countries, twelve are in the Middle East and North Africa, one of which is the UAE which falls in the 10th position. The availability of safe water becomes a major concern with the rapidly increasing population, urbanization, consumption patterns, and rapid land-use changes of the UAE. The study also indicates, however, that about 82 percent of wastewater in the area is not being reused; harnessing this asset will create a new source of clean water.

These facts prompted INGEO to come to Dubai to implement its water conservation, wastewater reuse and recycling strategies in line with the 2036 UAE Water Security Strategy and the vision of the UAE to achieve prosperity and sustainability.

“Given the rapid growth of the UAE economy and its high technology orientation to date, the UAE does not neglect the need to ensure our citizens have safe access to water. Many people are unaware of this region’s water stress problem. But if we don’t act on the problem, we know what that would mean, said Hisham Al Gurg, CEO of SEED Group and The Private Office of Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum. “With INGEO operating on the ground, we are confident this will demonstrate our commitment to the region and share our vision of increasing participation in delivering programs and building strategies for fostering growth and sustainability.”

Rajneesh Mehra reiterated that, in addition to the unique and different model of INGEO, their commitment to humanity as a whole is what matters to them. Not only do they provide the industry with water, but they also serve humanity’s larger cause.
