There is a vibrant tech ecosystem that attracts and retains the best and brightest minds from across the globe in the field. With a relentless focus on nurturing local talent and attracting skilled professionals from around the world, Dubai has positioned itself as the epicentre of global AI talent. The Emirate is successfully driving forward the boundaries of innovation and shaping the future of AI on a global scale.
The Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has recently inaugurated the Dubai AI Campus cluster at the Innovation Hub, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This new project is just phase one of the newly launched Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI), which is a project under the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
Guided by the clear vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the DUB.AI will create the optimal nurturing ecosystem for AI businesses and talents. It was essentially conceptualised to accelerate AI adoption across all key sectors.
As the Chairman of the Higher Committee for Future Technology and Digital Economy, Sheikh Hamdan believes that the Dubai AI Campus at DIFC will help increase AI’s contribution to Dubai and the UAE’s GDP.

The AI Campus will provide small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) within the sector co-working spaces and business accelerator programmes. They will have access to supercomputers, including DGX platforms, for training AI algorithms. The campus’ DIFC location also gives start-ups an advantageous legislative environment, which stimulates sustainable growth for next-generation AI companies. To this end, the emirate targets an AED 100 billion annual yield.
Phase one of the campus is already complete with more than 75 businesses registered on a 10,000-square-foot campus.
It’s also worth emphasising that the world’s multinational tech giants, like Microsoft, HP, Amazon Web Services, Nvidia, and Oracle, will join the cluster as its prominent partners. This enables SMBs to build mutually beneficial alliances with leading tech companies.
As a result, it will extend over 100,000 square feet, catalyse the creation or migration of over 500 companies, and offer an additional 3,000 jobs in the years to come.
Central to Dubai’s appeal as a hub for AI talent is its multicultural environment, which fosters diversity, creativity, and collaboration. The city serves as a melting pot of cultures, languages, and perspectives, creating a dynamic and inclusive environment that fuels innovation and drives progress.
AI professionals from around the world are drawn to Dubai’s cosmopolitan lifestyle, where they can connect with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and collaborate on groundbreaking projects, leveraging the power of diversity to drive innovation and push the boundaries of what is possible in AI.
Furthermore, Dubai offers world-class education and training opportunities, providing AI professionals with access to cutting-edge research, top-tier academic institutions, and specialised training programmes tailored to their needs.
From leading universities and research centres to specialised AI academies and training institutes, Dubai offers a wealth of resources and opportunities for AI professionals to enhance their skills, expand their knowledge, and stay at the forefront of the field.
