As of 2019, according to a new World Resources Institute (WRI) survey, a total of 17 countries are experiencing “Extremely High” water pressure. The availability of safe water becomes a major concern with the rapidly increasing population, urbanization, consumption patterns, and rapid land-use changes of the UAE. The study also indicates, however, that about 82 percent of wastewater in the area is not being reused; harnessing this asset will create a new source of clean water.
These facts prompted INGEO to come to Dubai to implement its water conservation, wastewater reuse and recycling strategies in line with the 2036 UAE Water Security Strategy and the vision of the UAE to achieve prosperity and sustainability.

HONG KONG, 21 October 2019 - Liquefy will be the technology provider for a consortium of Gulf families on a real estate digital securities project, with US$1 billion worth of real estate assets in the pipeline. The initiative will begin with the digitization of a landmark property: a luxury hotel, valued at US$600 million, situated in London’s affluent Mayfair district.
Liquefy is a technology platform specializing in blockchain applications that enable the issuance of digital securities backed by illiquid assets such as real estate property. The first asset Liquefy will digitize in this deal is an award-winning London hotel, housed in a redeveloped historic building that offers stunning views of Hyde Park and Mayfair. Singapore-based technology company Touché has signed a Cooperation Agreement with SEED Group as their local sponsors and partners, to expand the reach of the world’s first fingerprint biometric-based payment and loyalty management solution to the Middle East.

World-first space sharing platform from Australia, spacenow.com, has just signed a regional partnership agreement with Dubai’s SEED Group, a group of diversified companies owned and chaired by the Private Office of Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum. Spacenow is a platform that allows property and site owners to activate and monetise their underutilised space - from studios and gardens, to wall space and event venues – and enables entrepreneurs and businesses to access that space on a long- or short-term basis, from as little as just one hour. It was created in November 2016 by four Australian entrepreneurs in the real estate, technology, finance, and creative sectors: Daniel Gunning, Barrett Ovens, Baydr Strik, and Nick Leary. Already 1 million people worldwide use co-working spaces and by 2020, it is predicted that 40 per cent of the workforce will be freelancers, entrepreneurs, or independent contractors. But despite the huge number of offices sitting empty each year, there is not enough easily rentable space online to meet their needs.
The new partnership announced today covers Dubai and Abu Dhabi as priority markets, widening to the entire MENA region, and contributes to the initial capital raised by Spacenow, which resulted in the soft launch of the international platform in January 2018.
Dubai’s SEED Group first recognised the enormous potential of the Spacenow platform while the UAE was planning the upcoming Dubai 2020 Expo. “For the first time, a platform like Spacenow will give businesses travelling to the UAE the ability to rent office and desk space by the hour, day, week, or month. There is a lot happening in the hospitality sector, and not just in Dubai but also across all the emirates. As part of its corporate citizenship, The Private Office of Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum (TPO) organized a charity outing to Ferrari World for orphans from the Beit Al Kheir Charity Association in cooperation with Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Jollibee UAE.
The day-long event featured a visit to the popular Jollibee fast-food franchise in Abu Dhabi, followed by a trip to Ferrari World. Employees from TPO paired up with the kids and accompanied them throughout the day as they enjoyed the fun games and world-renowned rides.

Vodafone, the leading global telecom player has signed a partnership agreement with Dubai-based Seed Group. This pact gives Vodafone xone’s startups access to the UAE market. Vodafone xone is Vodafone’s venture capital, incubation, and entrepreneurship support unit.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Khaled Hegazy, Vodafone Egypt External Affairs & Legal Director, and Mr. Hesham Al-Gurg, Seed Group CEO. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Mr. Atef Helmy, Egypt’s Minister of Communications & Information Technology. Helmy praised this promising partnership that strengthens cooperation between Egypt and the UAE and unlocks new development opportunities in the telecom sector.
