This position will focus on creating and executing a strategy for bringing growth to the company’s existing business along with leading and maintaining the current revenue bottom line.

He/she will be in charge of managing a senior leadership team comprised of function heads from operations, marketing, finance, supply chain, human resources, information technology, and compliance, and will report to the board of directors (shareholders).He/She will work closely with key external stakeholders—mall management, landlords, regulators, vendors and auditors—to ensure the smooth functioning of Jollibee’s business.

To be successful as a general manager, he/she should be able to manage and advance a business’s strategic objectives, be an exceptional leader, drive a company’s strategic vision, and be adept at crisis management.


Sales and profit optimization: Provide strategic direction in order to meet operational and financial objectives

  • Ensure that the company’s mission, goals, strategies, and plans are clearly defined and followed
  • Develop and meet the company’s financial objectives, including preparing strategic and annual forecasts and budgets, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions
  • Identify new locations or revisit existing stores’ potential to ensure topline growth
  • Process streamlining and optimization of all aspects of the business
  • Accountable for the management of all company resources and the use of assets in order to achieve agreed-upon goals and maximise shareholder return

Operations: Provide operational excellence and talent management

  • Oversee activities or daily restaurant operations through the Operations Head to secure target achievements – should have a function of oversight over the entire business operations
  • Ensure that the operational and service skills of the employees of the stores are constantly improved
  • Support and implement all corporate programmes and guidelines in the UAE region

Strategic Leadership, People Development, and Supervision

  • Provide overall leadership to managers by coaching, motivating, and agreeing to deliverables
  • Build the organisational culture for the company through transparent communication, performance management, reward and recognition to support the growth of people and the company
  • Support the development and implementation of human resources strategies in accordance with the company’s people and culture policy

Driving Marketing Strategy

  • Oversee marketing activities and spend through the Marketing Head
  • Drive the development of the brand and the company’s value proposition

Supply Chain

  • Oversee and direct purchases and inventory as agreed with the Operations Management Team/Head
  • Oversee and aid in negotiating prices and contracts, including accreditation of approved suppliers, including but not limited to landlords and mall management

Management Reporting to Shareholders

Essential Experience

  • Around 18-20 years of in-depth experience in QSR with a minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a similar role with a medium-sized QSR company
  • Current/past experience of handling at least 20 stores in the UAE including new stores opening
  • Experience operating in a matrixed environment with the confidence to overcome ambiguity is required
  • Significant experience leading others and overseeing multiple functions (HR, Purchasing, Finance, etc.)
  • Developing a distinctive work environment-setting the performance culture or standards in the organisation
  • Strong influence skills
  • A keen eye for detail is required to ensure that the standards are met and the highest levels of customer satisfaction are maintained at all times
  • A proven track record of recruiting, developing, motivating, and retaining a high-performing team
  • Good commercial acumen with previous P & L responsibility
  • A confident and enthusiastic leader with a strong personality to lead the team in the day-to-day operations of the restaurants
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to ensure clear communication with all stakeholders
  • Ability to multitask and manage relationships at all levels effectively
